my friends, you ain't seen nothing yet
try 'synecdoche, new york'
in fact, try pronouncing it first of all
then go see it
that's if you want something challenging
something ridiculously overambitious
something utterly confusing
something massively self indulgent
and at times crushingly depressing

and yet...
there's a strange beauty to this film
the acting is astonishing, from all involved
the humour (when it happens) is brilliant
and the soundtrack really is wonderful
particularly the songs sung by Deanna Storey
“Song for Caden” and the heartbreakingly beautiful “Little Person”
