there's a strange beauty to this film
the acting is astonishing, from all involved
the humour (when it happens) is brilliant
and the soundtrack really is wonderful
particularly the songs sung by Deanna Storey
“Song for Caden” and the heartbreakingly beautiful “Little Person”

nature

i find nature so inspiring
i love to look into the eyes of a horse or a cat or dog and just feel that connection between you for those minutes
no thoughts, nothing, just 'being', sharing that moment, fellow creatures with a mutual lifeforce, an essence

so, when i read stories like this, i get a warm feeling, a sense of wonder, i want to visit these places where nature is reclaiming some of what man has previously taken
the DMZ between North and South Korea is another wonderful example of this
and marine life too, like the reef that has formed on the Venice flood barrier :)

i went swimming today

and discovered the following:

- i am spectacularly unfit
- stating the bloody obvious here but damn, swimming is such good exercise, afterwards i was totally ripped ;D
- wandering around the changing area starkers no longer makes me self conscious...if fact, it felt kinda liberating! maybe these crazy chermanz have had such an affect on me! :D
